Looks like everyone is riding the Cardi B. wave and it’s paying off in her favor because the rapper is making major moves on the Billboard Hot 100 this week?
The buzzy track from the Bronx rapper doubles its fortune on the chart, flying 28-14 in its fifth week on the list. The ascent makes “Bodak” the highest-charting hit by an unaccompanied female rapper (no other artists on the billing) since Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” burst to No. 2 in 2014. The tune leaps 13-6 on Streaming Songs (24.5 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 3, according to Nielsen Music, up 56 percent), rises 35-20 on Digital Song Sales (22,000 sold according to Nielsen Music, up 39 percent) and nears Radio Songs (22 million in audience, up 54 percent).
21 Savage – “Bank Account”
Atlanta native 21 Savage scores his first top 20 hit on the Hot 100 as “Bank Account” climbs from (fittingly) No. 21 to No. 19. The “Account” tally increases thanks to a 26 percent in U.S. streams to 27.8 million for the week and surges 8-3 on the Streaming Songs chart. Digital downloads also climb (14,000 for the week, up 5 percent) and spark a 48-36 move on the Digital Song Sales chart, while radio sports an 89 percent gain to 3 million in audience.
SZA featuring Travis Scott – “Love Galore”
The latest single from the R&B singer’s Ctrl sparks a Hot 100 breakthrough, as it glides 46-37 for her maiden visit to the chart’s top 40. The song also reaches No. 30 on Streaming Songs with 11.8 million streams and continues to break ground on Radio Songs, lifting 49-44 with 27 million in audience. SZA also welcomes another entry onto the Hot 100 as “The Weekend” debuts at No. 89.
