Chris Brown - Exclusive

Chris Brown had an amazing debut. He served us with hit after hit and took the crown from his peers in the game of R&B. After a few movies and his very own headling tour, he returns with his sophomore album, Exclusive.

Chris lead single from Exclusive stalled and caused a label panic and rush of his follow up single Kiss Kiss featuring overexposed hitmaked T-Pain. Well the collaboration seemed to do the trick. Chris earned a number one single from the ever pushed back sophomore? Features on the disc include The Game, Kanye West, Big Boi, Lil Wayne and Will.I.Am.

Most of the tracks fail to generate the excitement that his debut album did, but he still has a few winners where he shines like I Wanna Be, Hold Up and Take You Down. The immediate shift into maturity kind of falls short since it seems forced, but I can see how in time some of the records can work out.

Picture Perfect with Will.I.Am sounds real misplaced and I’ll Call Ya sounds like a Lloyd record gone wrong. Maybe some of the changes were made too soon.
